NEXUSAIRFIELD
RWY 09 · In development

A loose bolt shouldn't ground an aircraft.

NEXUS Airfield is building autonomous robots that find debris on runways and pick it up on the spot. People stay in charge and sign off.

The problem

Runways are still swept by eye.

A bolt, a rivet or a strip of tyre rubber can be pulled into a jet engine. Finding it today mostly means a line of people walking the surface, heads down.

Daily

U.S. airports must inspect every day, and carrier crews walk the deck for debris every day.

See it work

It finds it. It picks it up.

Drag across the runway to drive. Everything the robot finds is identified, picked up on the spot and logged. Nothing waits for a second trip.

Our approach

Find. Pick up. Prove.

Robots do the walking and the picking. People make the call.

01 · FIND

Find

AI vision on the robot scans the full width of the runway for anything that shouldn't be there.

02 · PICK UP

Pick up

When it finds something, it removes it right there, then keeps going.

03 · PROVE

Prove

Every find is logged. Inspectors review it and sign off before the runway reopens.

Built around how airfields already work. The robots operate only when the runway is closed to traffic, and people make the final call.

Where we're headed

Runways first. Then every surface where debris is a danger.

Each step reuses what the one before it proved.
